Summary

• Gatsby, once poor and now rich, has amassed a fortune to win the heart of Daisy Buchanan who is very "upper-class"
• The mystery of Gatsby's past stands in the way of Daisy accepting Gatsby's love.
• Gatsby throws grnad parties in hope of seeing Daisy again soon and getting his name out
• Gatsby then finds her acquantinces and finds a way to meet with her; AT NICKS!
• The reunion goes well and there are sparks
• This continues with intentions of love but Tom (Daisy's actual husband) notices and takes a stand against Gatsby one night at a hotel.
• Daisy has to reject Gatsby despite her husband also having cheated on her with Myrtle
